Arlington To Participate In National Drug Take Back Day April 30

ARLINGTON, MA — The Town of Arlington is participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this month, hosting a collection events for residents to safely dispose of prescription medications.
On Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visit the Arlington Police Department to dispose of any unused medications, support the prevention of addiction and overdose, and help the environment as part of the town’s EcoWeek 2022.
Before disposing of bottled medications, remove or scratch out any personal information but keep the medication name visible. Sharps should be placed in a secure container before disposing.

For the first time ever, DEA will also accept vaping devices and cartridges at any of its drop off locations during Take Back Day.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for misuse of medications.
