Arlington Police say on Thursday, April 2, at around 5:14 p.m., an officer heard a massive engine revving, then saw an ‘86 Red Yamaha motorcycle blast by a car on its left by crossing the yellow lines, before continuing to speed Eastbound on Broadway.
Upon giving chase, the officer said he viewed the ‘cycle - driven by Thyme - blow through a red light on the intersection of Broadway and Bates Road, and continued to weave through traffic at high speeds, indifferent to demands that he pull over.

The presuing officer lost track of Thyme, who eventually had to stop at another red light on Route 2 and Alewife Brook Parkway - where police, guns drawn, arrested him on the spot.
After being handcuffed, Thyme denied speeding, ignoring red lights, or failing to pull over. In fact, he said he had no idea he was being chased at all.
However, he did admit to aggressively passing the initial car on his left because the vehicle’s operator was “driving like a jerk, and stomping on the brakes in front of me,” he said, according to police.
Thyme also confessed to having a small bag of marijuana in his pocket before he was searched, and has been released on $40 bail, say police.
