Third Round Of Rental Assistance Now Open For Applications

The program provides rental assistance to income-eligible households that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington residents who are in need of rental assistance may now apply for support thanks to a third round of the Arlington Emergency Tenant Assistance Program.

The program provides rental assistance to income-eligible households that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is funded through the Community Development Block Grant and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.

Arlington residents who rent, who have a demonstrated gap in their income due to the pandemic and are at risk of losing their home may apply for the program.

Up to $2,000 per eligible household will be distributed for up to three months, made directly to the landlord. The household must earn at or below 50 percent of the area median income.

Applications are now open and will close on May 12. All applications will be pre-screened for eligibility, and those will be asked to provide additional information to be considered for assistance.
