ATTLEBORO, MA — Franklin Street in Attleboro was closed to traffic on Friday after the discovery of a water main break on that street. Although water service in the neighborhood was still available Friday morning, city officials said it's possible that water will be shut off further in the day as the main is being repaired.When water is restored, some discoloration of the water may result. Area residents are asked to avoid using chlorine bleach in laundry during this time. If residents experienced discolored water for more than 24 hours, they are asked to call the Water Department at 774-203-1850.
