For his Eagle Scout service project, Ryan Prouix of <a href="http://www.troop1seekonk.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Boy Scout Troop 1 Seekonk</a> is collecting items to support <a href="http://www.rosiesplace.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Rosie's Place</a>, a shelter for poor and homeless women located in Boston. "Besides providing food and other necessities for women, Rosie's Place also provides a safe place to live for women who do stay," Prouix wrote in an email to Attleboro-Seekonk Patch. "My goal is to collect 500 pounds of food and 30 jackets by the beginning of April." The Eagle Scout hopeful has placed collection boxes at , ,  and the on Newman Avenue. They will remain there until April 13.
