Seekonk Police Log: Burglary Tools and Fire

The  reports the following recent arrests:

April 30

  • Michael D. Thompson, 48, of Seekonk was arrested on an unspecified warrant at approximately 10:07 a.m. at his home on Ipswich Street.
  • Ronald Kenneth Carlson, 64, of Rehoboth was arrested at approximately 3 p.m. on suspicion of a second offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He was also accused of a marked lanes violation. The arrest followed a traffic stop on Taunton Avenue.

  • Matthew J. O'Brien, 20, of Seekonk was arrested on an unspecified warrant at approximately 10:46 a.m. on Central Avenue.
  • Charles Martin Smart Jr., 47, of Seekonk was arrested at approximately 5:13 p.m. on an unspecified warrant at the .

May 5

  • Nathan J. Faria, 21, of Attleboro was arrested at the Attleboro/Seekonk line on suspicion of receiving stolen property over $250, possession of burglarious tools, trespassing with a motor vehicle and use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony. He was also accused of not having a vehicle inspection sticker and operating a vehicle with a weight violation. The arrest followed a traffic stop on Pond Street.

  • Joseph Cooper Briggs, 30, of East Providence, was arrested at on suspicion of burning personal property.
