Barnstable Drug Raids: Fentanyl, Cocaine, Guns Seized

Barnstable police said they arrested Charles Curtis and seized drugs and guns from two residences.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A convicted Barnstable drug trafficker was arrested again this week after police said they found him with fentanyl, cocaine and multiple guns, police said Friday. Charles Curtis, who was released from prison in 2017 after serving 7 years for oxycodone trafficking, was arrested again Wednesday during a raid.

As officers entered his Maddaket Lane residence in Centerville, Curtis fled and struggled with officers before he was placed under arrest, police said. He was found with 26 grams of fentanyl, 2 pounds of marijuana, 4 grams of cocaine, rifles, shotguns and $15,000 in cash, according to police. Some of the drugs and guns were located at a second residence on Hollow Road in Cotuit, police said.

Curtis was charged with a host of crimes, including fentanyl trafficking and resisting arrest. He was held on $75,000 bail after an arraignment in Barnstable District Court.
