Barnstable High School Ranked Among Best In Massachusetts
Barnstable High School was ranked among the top 100 in Massachusetts on U.S. News' "Best High Schools" rankings.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable High School is one of the best high schools in Massachusetts, according to U.S. News, which on Wednesday released its "Best High Schools" rankings for 2018. The Boston Latin School was ranked the best in Massachusetts. The Bay State's high schools were ranked the best nationwide, according to the rankings. California was No. 2.
Barnstable High School was ranked No. 71 in Massachusetts. The school's enrollment is 1,933 and its student-teacher ratio is 14 to 1. On test scores, 80 percent of students were proficient in math and 95 percent were proficient in reading.
"Top-ranked schools succeed in three main areas: exceeding expectations on state proficiency tests, offering challenging coursework and graduating their students," Anita Narayan, a managing editor at U.S. News, said in a statement.
