Barnstable Trump Official Accused Of Abusing Wife Sues

BARNSTABLE, MA — A Barnstable man who served as a speechwriter for President Trump has reportedly sued his ex-wife after she claimed he abused her. David Sorensen recently sued Jessica Corbett and is seeking $4 million for defamation and distress, according to the Cape Cod Times. Sorensen, who resigned from his speechwriting post earlier this year, denied he abused Corbett.

Corbett told the Washington Post Sorsensen "ran a car over her foot, put out a cigarette on her hand, threw her into a wall and grasped her menacingly by her hair." Sorensen denied the allegations and claimed Corbett was the one who was violent in a March interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

"I have never been violent in any way to any woman in my entire life," Sorensen told Carlson. "The very thought of it is sickening to me."
