Cape Building Collapses After Car Crashes Into It

Crews are responding to the collapse after they say a driver slammed into the building in Orleans.

ORLEANS, MA — A full county response has been called after a vehicle crashed into a building, collapsing the structure sometime before 11 a.m. Thursday morning.

Firefighters were able to remove the driver from the vehicle and transport the victim to Cape Cod Hospital before they say the building at 36 Old Colony Way in Orleans collapsed.

Firefighters and emergency response teams from as far as Mashpee have responded to the scene.
