Cape Cod Man Who Assaulted Officer Wanted: Police
Cape Cod police said Michael Gomes is wanted on charges including assaulting an officer, drunk driving and drug possession.
YARMOUTH, MA — Police are asking the public's help finding a Cape Cod man wanted on a host of charges including assaulting an officer, drunk driving and drug possession. Yarmouth police said Michael Gomes, 35, has an extensive criminal history that includes 17 charges out of Massachusetts.
Anyone with information on Gomes' whereabouts is asked to contact Yarmouth police at 508-775-0445.
Gomes is 5 feet 7 inches and 165 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said he has warrants for the following charges:
- Assaulting an officer
- Drunk driving
- Resisting arrest
- Drug possession
- Various vehicle offenses
Gomes was featured as the Yarmouth Police Department's "Wanted Wednesday" fugitive. Last week's featured fugitive — a man with 72 charges on his record — turned himself in.
