Cape Cod Road Race Honors Fallen Yarmouth Officer
The Yarmouth Police Department's Run to Remember 5K is May 20. The race honors Sean Gannon, who was killed in the line of duty in April.

YARMOUTH, MA — The Yarmouth Police Department's annual Run to Remember 5K this year will have added significance following the death of Officer Sean Gannon. Gannon, a member of the race's organizing committee, was shot and killed in Barnstable last month while searching for a career criminal.
"His murder has delivered a blow to all who knew him," race organizers said.
The 11th annual race is Sunday, May 20, at 11 a.m. at Skipper Restaurant. Registration is $25 for adults and $10 for children. Proceeds benefit the Yarmouth Food Pantry, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Katelynn's Closet.
