Cape Cod Route 6 Rollover Crash: Medflight Called
Cape Cod police said a driver was seriously injured after crashing into a utility pole and then a tree near the Eastham Superette.

EASTHAM, MA — A driver was seriously injured in a rollover crash on Route 6 in Eastham Monday night, according to police. The crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. near the Eastham Suprette.
Police said a man was driving a Lexus sport utility vehicle when for an unknown reason he veered off the road. The vehicle flew into a utility pole, rolled over then crashed up against a tree.
The driver was transported to Barnstable Municipal Airport, where he was medflighted to a Boston-area hospital due to the severity of his injuries.

The crash tore down utility wires on Route 6 and knocked out power. The highway was closed for several hours and crews repaired the pole.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
