Cape Cod Trash Worker Threatened Violence At Company: Police
Cape Cod police said Rogelio Lopez threatened "extreme violence" against coworkers at his Yarmouth workplace.

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod trash company worker was arrested Thursday after police said he threatened "extreme violence" against his co-workers. Rogelio Lopez, 51, of Bourne, was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony.
Yarmouth police said a trash business in town told officers Lopez made the threats over the phone last week. He was suspended then fired, police said. Lopez was described as a "longtime" worker at the company.
Officers then tracked Lopez to a Wareham residence Thursday night and placed him in custody. Lopez was released on $40 bond pending an arraignment Friday in Barnstable District Court.
