Cranberry Truck Crash Spills Fruit All Over Cape Cod Highway
One person was seriously hurt and the Sagamore Bridge was closed for hours Friday morning.

A cranberry truck overturned in a crash on Route 6 in Bourne Friday morning, seriously injuring one person and resulting in the closure of the Sagamore Bridge for hours.
Police said the chain reaction crash happened when a vehicle cut off a pickup truck towing a trailer full of cranberries at about 6:30 a.m. The truck swerved to get out of the way and collided with a seafood truck, police said.
The seafood truck driver, a 42-year-old man from Beverly, was seriously hurt. The cranberry truck driver, a 33-year-old from East Harwich, was not hurt.

Police said they are still looking for the vehicle that cut off the cranberry truck. They didn’t have a description of the vehicle but asked anyone with information to contact them at 508-759-4451.
The Sagamore Bridge was closed for about two hours before reopening at about 9:30 a.m. Police said there was another minor crash in the area that added to the traffic congestion.
