Hyannis Dog Attacks Owner, Flees: Police
Barnstable police said a pit bull named Zeus attacked its owner in Hyannis on Anthony Drive then fled the area.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A dog attacked its owner in Hyannis on Anthony Drive Tuesday morning then fled from first responders, police said. The attack happened at about 12:50 a.m.
"Officers arrived on scene and located a 22 year old Hyannis man suffering from bite wounds on both of his forearms," Barnstable police said in a statement. "The dog was aggressive and was preventing access to the victim by Hyannis Rescue personnel. The dog eventually ran off."
Animal control officers located the dog at about noon, police said.
