Hyannis Man Charged In Police Scuffle At Cumberland Farms
Barnstable police said Marlon Green was charged with shoplifting, drugs and resisting arrest during an incident at Cumberland Farms.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A Barnstable man was arrested Wednesday at the Hyannis Cumberland Farms after trying to steal several items and scuffling with officers, according to police. Marlon Green, 28, was charged with a host of crimes and held without bail because police said he violated his probation.
The incident happened at the West Main Street Cumberland Farms at about 1 a.m., police said. Officers were called to the store for a report that Green was shoplifting.
"Upon arrival, units encountered the suspect ... who was inside the men’s room," Barnstable police said in a statement. "Further investigation revealed that Green had allegedly selected several items of merchandise and entered the men’s room where he concealed the items on his person. When officers attempted to take Green into custody, he became actively resistant by physically pulling away from officers and failing to comply with verbal commands."
