What To Expect Ahead Of New Hyannis Water Treatment Facility Construction
Locals are likely to see more construction vehicles in the area around the Straightway in Hyannis this week.

HYANNIS, MA — A town contractor will begin prepping for work on the new Straightway Water Treatment Facility this week, officials said.
Starting Tuesday, the Town of Barnstable’s Contractor, Daniel O’Connell’s Sons (DOC), will begin mobilizing within the vicinity of 228 Straightway, in Hyannis, in preparation for the construction of the new Straightway Water Treatment Facility.
Work will occur Monday through Friday from about 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Increased construction vehicle traffic in and around the area of Straightway can be expected, officials said.

"This project is critical to improving the drinking water quality, reliability, and resiliency of the Town of Barnstable’s Hyannis Water System," officials said of the project.
