Super Tuesday: Clinton Attacks Trump in Final Boston Pitch

Highlights from Hillary Clinton's appearance in Boston Monday ahead of Super Tuesday's big nomination contest.

BOSTON, MA - Hillary Clinton addressed an overflow crowd in Boston Monday, evoking the city’s deep political roots as she bypassed Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders to zero in on Donald Trump, the increasingly likely GOP nominee.

Sanders trails Clinton in the latest state polls, a blow to the Vermont democratic socialist’s campaign in a state that once seemed like a lock.

Sanders appears in Milton for a rally of his own tonight.

Coming off a South Carolina blowout, Clinton sought to clinch that support in her appearance at downtown Boston’s Old South Meeting House Monday.

Riffing on Trump’s tagline, the New York Times reports, Clinton told the Boston crowd, “America never stopped being great; we need to make it whole again.” She directed a pointed condemnation at the GOP front-runner and his fellow primary contenders, calling on the audience to “reject the demagoguery, the bigotry that is being peddled by the Republican candidates.”
