Bedford Coronavirus: 160 Cases, 31 Deaths As Of Tuesday
The Town of Bedford's COVID-19 Task Force met Tuesday to discuss Gov. Baker's reopening plans.
BEDFORD, MA β Massachusetts' stay-at-home advisory remains in effect Tuesday as the number of cases of the new coronavirus in Bedford climbs to 160 and the number of deaths reaches 31.
In a statement, the Town of Bedford said the total case count includes those diagnosed in single-family homes, apartments, the VA campus, Hanscom AFB and other assisted-living and long-term-care facilities in Bedford.
While Bedford's case count does include residents of the VA campus, the town said the VA provides its own daily report of case numbers that includes inpatients, outpatients and staff members. Those who do not call Bedford home may not be included in the town's numbers. More information is available on the VA's website.

In the statement, the town said 39 people who previously tested positive for the new virus have recovered and are no longer in self-isolation.
On Tuesday, the town's COVID-19 task force gathered to consider new guidance from Gov. Charlie Baker, the Department of Public Health and the Town Legal Counsel. Baker earlier this week announced he is rolling out a four-part plan to reopen the state's economy, but specific details remain vague.
