Bedford Man Arrested In Watertown For Assault and Battery

A Bedford man was arrested in Watertown on March 17 for assault and battery after a domestic incident the same day at his Bedford residence.


The Bedford Police Department received a call requesting an officer check the wellbeing of a 15-year-old male at 40 Genetti Circle shortly after 3 p.m. on March 17, according to Det. Lt. Scott Jones.Β 

The responding officer reported there had been a domestic issue, a possible assault and battery, and that the 15-year-old was being transported by ambulance to Emerson Hospital in Concord.Β 

The other individual involved in the incident was the boy's father, Thomas Baxter, and had left the home before Bedford officers arrived, according to Jones.Β

Baxter works in Watertown, and Bedford Police notified the Watertown Police Department of the incident, according to Jones.Β 

Later on March 17, Watertown Police arrested Thomas Baxter, 48, of 40 Genetti Circle in Bedford for assault and battery, while he was at work in Watertown.

At approximately 11:19 p.m.Β Bedford officers reported they were en route to the Watertown Police Department to place Baxter in custody.Β 

Baxter was transported back to the Bedford Police Department, according to Jones.Β
