Police suspect this home break-in could be connected to others in the area, according to Jones.
BPD is working with other area departments, including the Chelmsford Police Department and Billerica Police Department, as part of an ongoing investigation looking into several recent breaking and enterings they believe could have been committed by the same person, according to Jones.Β

While Billerica Police have made one arrest in connection with the investigation, BPD haven't made any arrests or charged anyone thus far, according to Jones.Β
Tips and information from residents are crucial in these types of investigations, Jones said.Β
"They are the eyes and ears on the street for us," Jones said. "Sometimes someone will see something strange, think nothing of it and not call right away, but when we talk to people later they recall seeing something suspicious or out of place. That's extremely helpful to us."
