Bucs Hockey Tops Shawsheen Tech in MIAA Semifinals

The Bedford High School boys hockey team dominated their MIAA North Division 3 semifinal matchup, besting Shawsheen Valley Technical High School 3-1 Wednesday night at the Chelmsford Forum. 

While Shawsheen scored late, senior goalie Abe Grainger made 27 saves, and the Bucs were the more aggressive team throughout the game.

The Bucs got on the board in the first period with a goal from sophomore Jake Citrano, who netted another goal in the second period.

Bedford scored shorthanded on a goal by senior Sean Isnor off an assist from senior Anthony Lepaiso to make it 3-0 Bedford in the second period. 

Shawsheen scored with 1:19 left in the third period, making the final 3-1 Bedford. 

The Bucs will play in the North Division 3 finals for the second year in a row, taking on Swampscott High School on March 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the Stoneham Arena.
