Election Results: Fedele Joins Selectmen, McAllister to School Committee

The official results from the March 9 town elections are in.

Fewer than 8 percent of registered voters turned out to vote in the March 9 Annual Town Elections.

Those who did turn out elected a new Selectmen, a new member to School Committee and a caucus candidate to Planning Board. One Selectmen and one School Committee member were also reelected.Β

The first contested race for town office was Planning Board with two seats open for three candidates. Amy Faith Llyod, who received 481 votes, and Shawn Hanegan, who received 503, beat out Joseph Dini who tallied only 218 votes.

Regional School Committee also had a contested race, with one seat open for two candidates. Deborah Kostas won that race with 467 votes to Donald Drouin's 201.

William Moonan was reelected to Selectmen with 574 votes, and Caroline Fedele was elected with 609 votes.Β 

Town Moderator Betsey Anderson won reelection as well as the highest number of votes for any official with 641, earning another three year term.

Brad Hafer was reelected to School Committee with 590 votes, and Michael McAllister was elected with 599 votes.
