Police: An Injured Kitten at BPD

Tuesday, Dec. 18
7:22 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a large pool of water in one travel lane creating a traffic hazard. DPW was notified.Â

10:15 a.m.- An officer found an injured kitten at the back door of the Bedford Police Department. The Animal Control Officer and Animal Rescue League were notified.Â
12:22 p.m.- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident without injury on Hartwell Road. Subsequent callers reported the air bags deployed and fluids leaking. The operator was transported the Lahey Clinic.Â

4:46 p.m.- A caller reported a loose dog, medium in build and brown, loose in the area of Concord Road at Wheeler Drive. The responding officer could not locate the animal.Â
5:21 p.m.- Police received a call from 215 Great Road reporting alarms sounding. An officer spoke with someone at that address who reported someone burnt food on the stove at 217 Great Road, but everything was under control. The food was off the stove, the kitchen was venting and everyone had left the building.
9:40 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a low hanging wire on South Road at Hartwell Road.Â
9:52 p.m.- A caller reported the back window of his vehicle had been smashed in front of 4000 Avalon Drive. The responding officer spoke with the owner who said he believed the window had been defective and that there had not been any vandalism.Â
10:37 p.m.- A resident of Richard Road called police to report people, who say they are from National Grid, repeatedly entering his house saying they are looking for a gas leak. The responding office reported the individuals were from NSTAR.
