Police: Bedford Man Arrested for Domestic Assault and Battery

Saturday, Dec. 8
4:26 p.m.- The Bedford Police Department received multiple calls reporting a transformer fire near 120 Page Road. The Bedford Fire Department reported a line down and a wide spread power outage. NSTAR was notifed.Â

4:38 p.m.- A caller reported the traffic signal at Shawsheen Avenue and Great Road was out. The responding officer reported the power was out from that point into Lexington.
4:56 p.m.- Police received a call from T.J. Maxx reporting they had a shoplifter.Â

6:10 p.m.- BPD received a call from a female, who was crying, asked "can I call you back later?" and then hung up. BPD reestablished communication with the caller, who reported she had been involved in a domestic incident with her husband at 6 Roberts Drive. The dispatcher then spoke with her husband, Hongbin Li, who said he had hit his wife, who is six months pregnant, in the face and that she had hit him as well. Officers responded, and Hongbin Li, of 6 Roberts Drive in Bedford, was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery.Â
Sunday, Dec. 9
8:55 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Ledgewood Drive reporting vandalism to his Christmas decorations.
12:23 p.m.- A resident of Sweetwater Avenue reported vandalism to his mailbox.
12:36 p.m.- A resident of Sweetwater Avenue reported a broken window to a vehicle on the street. The damage had been done with a mailbox.
