Police Log: A Cat Burglar

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 19

1:58 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a Wheeler Drive resident reporting a cat had run into their house and they couldn't get it out. The responding officer reported the cat had been removed.

9:34 a.m.- A caller reported a child had been locked in a vehicle by accident on Lido Lane. The responding officer reported he gained access to the vehicle and that the child was fine.

10:23 a.m.- An individual came into the police station to drop off a license plate they had found on Old Billerica Road. An officer returned the license plate to its owner.

1:50 p.m.- Police received a call from a woman at Middlesex Community College reporting her phone had been stolen. The responding officer reported the woman's husband showed up at MCC with the phone and said it had been left on the dresser that morning. 

2:49 p.m.- A caller reported two loose dogs near Bedford Village. The responding officer checked the area, but did not locate the dogs. 

5:33 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a turkey on Crosby Drive was creating a traffic hazard. The responding officer reported the turkey was no longer in the area when he arrived.

6:11 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a two car motor vehicle crash with no injuries on Old Billerica Road.
