Police Log: A Hit and Run Crash on Shawsheen Road

Tuesday, April 2

8:17 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a hit and run crash near 35 Shawsheen Road. The caller reported the suspect vehicle left the area heading toward Page Road, while the victims vehicle was disabled at the location of the crash. The responding officer reported he viewed the damage and that the suspect returned to the scene of the crash on her own accord.Β

10:17 a.m.- Police received a call from an employee of CVS reporting a shoplifter in the store. The responding officer reported he assisted the staff in handling the incident.Β 

2:32 p.m.- A caller reported they had locked themselves out of their car at the Bedford Free Public Library, and that there was a child stuck inside. The responding officer reported he unlocked the vehicle.

5:50 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a car crash with injuries near 160 Middlesex Turnpike. The responding officer reported one individual was transported to Lahey Clinic by ambulance.Β
