Police Log: A Shoplifter at CVS

Saturday, March 23

6:07 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a motorist reporting a suspicious vehicle on Ledgewood Drive near Wilson Road. The responding officer checked the area but the vehicle was gone.Β

8:09 a.m.- Police received a call reporting an erratic driver in a brown Impala with Indiana plates on Concord Road heading for Concord. Concord Police were notified.

10:23 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a loose dog on Jonathan Lane near Brooksbie Road. The responding officer reported the dog was returned to its owner on Brooksbie Road.

1:52 p.m.- A resident of South Road called police hoping to speak with an officer regarding her 16-year-old son who was not obeying her. The responding officer spoke with the reporting person and advised her no laws were being broken.Β 

7:01 p.m.- A resident of 10 Railroad Avenue called police to report there was someone knocking on their front door saying they were the police. While still on the line, the caller reported the person at their door informed them they had been joking. The responding officer confirmed there were no emergencies.Β 

9:11 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a suspicious vehicle near Gould Road at Springs Road. The caller reported the vehicle, a black Infiniti with tinted windows, had been following him and then sped off. The responding officer checked the area, but the vehicle was gone.

11:03 p.m.- An employee at CVS called to report a shoplifter had fled the store on Great Road heading south.Β
