Police Log: A Sick Raccoon and a Noisy Backhoe

Wednesday, April 17
12:15 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a resident of Karen Drive reporting a group of teens had dumped trash on his front lawn and were shooting off fireworks in the area.

8:20 a.m.- Police received a call reporting traffic cones in the road creating a hazard on North Road at Great Road. The responding officer reported the area was checked with negative results.
1:10 p.m.- A caller reported a possibly sick raccoon hanging from the storm drain at 85 Concord Road. The responding officer reported the raccoon did not appear to be sick, and that a board was placed against the downspout so the animal could clumb down.

1:16 p.m. Police received a call reporting a controlled outside fire at 241 Concord Road. The Bedford Fire Department put out the fire.Β
1:20 p.m.- A caller reported a vehicle had cut her off while pulling out of a parking spot at 78 Great Road and had fishtailed up the street and had parked at 49 Great Road. The responding officer reported the operator of the vehicle was not impaired. Β
5:15 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a car crash with injuries in front of 253 Concord Road. Officers on scene reported several injuries. Two individuals were transported to Lahey Clinic.Β
7:57 p.m.- A resident of Fox Run Road reported she was out for a walk and had been bit by a dog.
9:47 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a noise complaint concerning Β a backhoe loading mulch into a dump truck at Thompson Farm. The responding officer told the workers to quit for the night.
