Police Log: A Stolen Pellet Stove

Saturday, March 16
12:16 a.m.- An officer reported there was a large amount of water in the road on Old Billerica Road near Noreen Drive. The officer reported it was not a water main break, but he was unsure where the water was coming from.Β

10:52 a.m.- A Springs Road resident called the Bedford Police Department to report the same vehicle had been parked in the Middlesex Community College parking lot three times in the past week, shining its headlights on 301 Springs Road at around 10 p.m. The registered owner of the vehicle was a piano teacher who gives lessons at homes in the area. The reporting person was notified.Β
2:47 p.m.- An individual came into the police station to report the possible larceny of a pellet stove from 265 South Road. The responding officer spoke with the individual who had taken it who said they thought it was being given away. The stove was returned.

3:07 p.m.- An individual came into the police station to report her car had been struck by a cyclist while she was in traffic near 55 Great Road. The reporting person said the cyclist then yelled at her and there was a scratch on her car.Β
7:16 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a car had struck a deer on Woodmor Drive at Concord Road. DPW was notified.
11:52 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of 76 Fletcher Road reporting a car had been parked on the street for the past two days. The responding officer reported there were multiple vehicles parked on the street. The officer reported he would check back after 1 a.m. to see if there were any overnight parking violations.
11:56 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a vehicle was driving up Woodland Road with the occupants using a megaphone to yell out the windows. The responding officer reported the vehicle had left the area.Β
