Police Log: An Arrest for Shoplifting at Marshalls

Wednesday, March 27

12:16 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received an anonymous call reporting an unoccupied disabled vehicle near 550 Springs Road. Responding officers reported a tow truck was called.

7:37 a.m.- Police received a call from 37 Woodland Road reporting the larceny of two bicycles.

7:39 a.m.- Officers responded to reports of a car crash in front of 326 Great Road. Officers reported there were no injuries and both vehicles were in the parking lot of the Bedford House of Beef. DPW was notified to remove broken glass from the roadway.Β

10:46 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a civil dispute over keys at 305 Concord Road. An officer was dispatched, and reported the dispute was over the reporting person wanting a key. The responding officer reported the reporting person received the key and there was no longer an issue.Β 

3:40 p.m.- Police received a call reporting found property on the trail behind Shawsheen Cemetary. The responding officer reported the property was trash and it was disposed of.

4:21 p.m.- A caller reported medical waste found on Old Billerica Road near the Route 3 overpass. The responding officer disposed of the waste at the Bedford Fire Department.Β 

4:33 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a loose dog at 166 North Road. The reporting person agreed to keep the dog until the owner came to retrieve it.Β 

5:30 p.m.- Police received a call reporting an individual exited Marshalls through the emergency exit, get into a vehicle and leave on Great Road. Responding offier stopped the vehicle on Shawsheen Road. Ryan Shorey, of Billerica, was placed under arrest for shoplifting and larceny.
