Police Log: An OUI Arrest

Tuesday, April 9

1:12 a.m.- An officer reported that following a motor vehicle stop near 20 North Road, Anthony Anzalone of 4 Sargent Roode Lane in Middleton was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.Β

1:46 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a vehicle half stopped in the road and half in a driveway on North Road near Sweetwater Avenue. The caller reported the operator of the vehicle looked disoriented. The responding officer checked the area, but the vehicle was gone.

6:48 a.m.- Police received a call reporting an elderly female, not dressed properly, walking out into traffic on Concord Road. Responding officers reported they located the individual and transported her home.

9:38 a.m.- A caller reported an adult female sitting in a puddle on Loomis Street at Winthrop Avenue. The responding officer located the individual and confirmed she was well and was going on her way.

1:03 p.m.- The Bedford Fire Department received an alarm activation for 7 Willard Circle. Responding emergency personnel reported food had been left on the stove.Β 

6:05 p.m.- Police received a call from a mother reporting her son was walking their dog near the crosswalk between Bedford High School and John Glenn Middle School when he was approached by two men, 30 to 40 years old, with shaved heads. The caller reported they asked her son what kind of dog he had and asked him if he wanted a ride.Β 

9:03 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a fire at Shawsheen Cemetary in the far corner near the sand pit. The Fire Department extinguished the fire.
