Police Log: A Chimney Fire on Page Road

Thursday, March 7
9:42 a.m.- A staff member at 20 Railroad Ave. called the Bedford Police Department to request an officer come check on a resident. The responding officer reported the resident was calm upon her arrival.

1:55 p.m.- Police received a call reporting possible unlicensed solicitors near 85 Hartwell Road. The responding officer spoke with the individuals, one of whom had a permit for soliciting. One of the solicitors did not have a permit and was issued a bylaw citation.Β
2:39 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a chimney fire at 3 Page Road. Officers responded along with the Bedford Fire Department.Β

4:02 p.m.- A manager at Taylor Pond Lane reported an illegally parked vehicle in front of 4000 Taylor Pond Lane. The caller reported the vehicle was not in a handicap spot or fire lane and was advised he would have to have the vehicle towed as it is private property.Β
4:51 p.m.- An officer responded to a car crash without injuries in front of 186 Great Road.Β
4:57 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Winchester Drive reporting an issue with a Fisher Cat. The responding officer dispersed the animal.Β
