Police Log: Gunshots on Carlisle Road and a Missing Dog

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Feb. 24

6:23 a.m.- The Bedford Fire Department responded to a call from the Bedford Plaza Hotel. Responding personnel reported there was a water issue, not a fire. The Building Inspector, Board of Health, Electrical Inspector and Plumbing Inspector were notified.Β

11:03 a.m.- An employee of the Shell on Great Road reported they had received a counterfeit bill.

12:47 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a refrigerator with its doors still on on the side of the road near 224 Old Billerica Road. The responding officer reported he spoke with the owner, who said they would take the doors off. The officer checked back later, and the doors were removed.

1:33 p.m.- Police received a call reporting what sounded like gunshots near 53 Carlisle Road. The caller said they had been hearing the shots for around 20 minutes. The responding officer checked Winterberry Way, Carlisle Road and the boat ramp and found nothing.

Monday, Feb. 25

12:34 p.m.- An individual called police to report he had accidentally locked his dog inside his car at Genetti's Wine and Spirits. The responding officer was able to unlock the vehicle.Β 

3:09 p.m.- An officer reported a water main break at Hancock Street and Anthony Road. DPW was notified.

5:51 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a missing German Sheppard from 5 Lexington Circle. At 7:45 p.m. police received several calls reporting a dog matching this description in the area of Concord Road and Parker Road. The owner was notified, and headed that way.
