Police Log: More Mailbox Vandalism on Brooksbie Road

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, April 14

7:06 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a domestic assault in progress at 5 Wilson Road. The suspect left the area in a blue Lincoln towncar. Responding officers reported a teletype was sent out to the surrounding area, and the Waltham Police Department was notified.Β

8:02 a.m.- A resident of Brooksbie Road reported vandalism to her mailbox. The same thing had happened a few weeks prior.Β 

1:26 p.m.- An individual came into the police station to turn in a debit card they had found on the sidewalk on Great Road. The owner was contacted and came in to the station to pick it up.

3:59 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Pickman Drive reporting suspicious activity in the woods near her home. The responding officer reported he spoke with the individuals in question, who were picking wild flowers in the woods. All was in order.Β 

6:19 p.m.- Police received an anonymous call reporting a loose dog, with long dark hair, in the area of the skate park behind Town Center. The responding officer reported the dog was back at its owner's residence on School Way.

6:31 p.m.- A caller reported observing an individual stuff something into the tailpipe of his vehicle and get back in the car near 552 Springs Road. Officers noted the vehicle matched the description sent out by Billerica Police earlier of a suicidal operator. Billerica Police were notified. The individual was transported to Saints Memorial Hospital.
