Police Log: Reports of a Rabid Raccoon

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, March 30

12:51 a.m.- An officer reported he responded to a two car crash with entrapment on Route 3 north near exit 27 in Billerica. The officer reported he assisted Billerica Police at the scene of the crash.Β

2:38 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from 15 Clark Road reporting a suspicious male party ringing her doorbell. The caller reported the male had walked across the street and began ringing the doorbell. Police received another call from a resident of 16 Clark Road reporting the same male was ringing their doorbell, appeared disoriented and said his car had been stolen. Officers responded.Β 

1:03 p.m.- An officer reported he was at the Bikeway Source with two suspicious males. Donald Beauchesne, of 5 Woodlawn Street in Tyngborough, and Christopher Poole, of 43 Woodfern Avenue in Tyngsborough, were placed under arrest for trespassing and larceny. The vehicle the two were using was towed.Β

2:54 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a motorcycle being operated erratically travelling east on Burlington Road. The motorcycle took a right on Network Drive in Burlington. Burlington Police were notified.

2:58 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a possibly rabid raccoon in the area of 253 Davis Road. The responding officer reported the animal had made its way back into the woods.

3:51 p.m.- A caller reported a possible whole sink on the property of 17 Hemlock Lane. The responding officer reported the sink was 10 feet away from the road, and was surrounded by hay bales and a temporary fence. The officer left a note for the construction company.Β
