Police Log: Reports of a Rogue Golf Cart on Karen Drive

Monday, April 15

9:55 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a tractor trailer had struck a utility pole on Brooksbie Road at Great Road. The responding officer reported there was no damage to the pole, and that the truck had struck a curb at the corner of Brooksbie and Great and had a flat tire. The officer reported the truck had pulled off into the Mitre lot and was waiting for a tow truck to arrive. 

10:33 a.m.- A resident of Temple Terrace reported a construction crew using large equipment to move rocks and logs, in violation of the town by-law, at 23 Temple Terrace. The responding officer spoke with the construction crew who were unaware of the town by-law, and agreed to come back the next day. 

5:50 p.m.- Police received a call from an employee of Bostonwood reporting an unwanted party outside the store refusing to leave and bothering customers. The responding officers located the individual and transported him back to the V.A. Medical Center.

6:31 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a suspicious incident at the DoubleTree Bedford Glen Hotel. Officers responded. 

7:09 p.m.- A caller reported youths driving a golf cart around the area of Karen Drive. The responding officer checked the area, but did not locate the individuals or the golf cart. 

8:37 p.m.- A caller reported to police she believed she was being followed on her walk home. The caller could not provide a description and said she was no longer being followed. The responding officer spoke with the caller, who had made it home safely. 

8:55 p.m.- Police received a call reporting the sound of fireworks in the area of 32 Battle Flag Road. The responding officer checked the area, but found nothing.
