Police Log: Tailgating on Carlisle Road

Friday, Feb. 22
8:29 a.m.- An officer reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of 333 Old Billerica Road. The officer reported two white males occupying the vehicle left in a hurry when the saw him. The officer spoke with the homeowner who reported he was expecting a contractor from Lexington in a white pickup truck, and the officer informed him the car he observed was not a white pickup truck. The homeowner said it was fine.

5:18 p.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from the Veterans Administration Police requesting assistance with an individual on the roof of one of the buildings at the V.A. Medical Center. Prior to arrival, V.A. Police reported they had the individual in custody and that all was in order.Â
6:35 p.m.- Police received a call from a motorist reporting a vehicle being driven erratically heading into town on Carlisle Road. An officer reported he stopped the vehicle on South Road at Loomis Street and the operator said the person calling had been tailgating him, and he had pulled over to ask the individual to stop.

8:13 p.m.- A caller reported a barking dog at 1 Ellingson Road. The responding officer reported the dog belonged at 5 Donovan Drive and returned him to that address.Â
11:53 p.m.- BPD responded to a noise complaint of a loud group of youths having a party at 280 South Road. Responding officers reported an unknown vehicle had showed up at the residence, the passenger started a problem with the youths at the party, and then left the area. Following the departure of the unknown vehicle, the party broke up and that there was no further police action.
