Police Log: An Arrest and a Suspicious Smart Car

Wednesday, Jan. 9

10:41 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from an employee of CVS reporting they had caught someone shoplifting. The responding officer reported

4:33 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a loose dog on Hemlock Lane near Page Road. The responding officer checked the area but did not find the dog.

4:52 p.m.-  An officer responded to a barking dog complaint on Lido Lane. The officer reported the resident was not home and that he would check back later.

Thursday, Jan. 10

7:55 a.m.- A resident of Shawsheen Road reported she observed footprints in the snow leading up to her back door, although there did not appear to be forced entry to her house. The responding officer reported the prints appeared to be old.

3:56 p.m.- A resident of Sheridan Road reported a dark blue smart car parked outside her residence, and a group of males standing around the vehicle. The responding officer reported the vehicle and individuals were gone by the time he arrived.
