Police Log: Vandalized Mailboxes on Brooksbie Road

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, March 24

1:02 a.m.- An off duty officer reported a large group of kids in the area of Page Road at Old Billerica Road. Responding officers reported several mailboxes had been knocked down on Brooksbie Road. An officer located the group of kids in the driveway of 29 Old Billerica Road. Det. Lt. Scott Jones told Bedford Patch this incident remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department.

9:38 a.m.- Police received a call from a motorist reporting broken beer bottles in the road on Great Road near Roberts Drive. The responding officer cleared the bottle from the road.

3:15 p.m.- Police received a call from a guest at the Bedford Plaza Hotel reporting an incident of threatening that had occurred earlier in the day at the V.A. Medical Center. The responding officer spoke with the reporting person and informed them they need to bring the issue to the V.A. Police.Β

3:53 p.m.- A caller reported a large puddle with bubbles in it and an odor of natural gas near the drain at Great Road at Elmbrook Road. The responding officer reported he checked the puddle and that there were bubbles surfacing but there was no odor of natural gas. DPW and National Grid were notified.Β
