Police: Target Practice on Springs Road

Sunday, Dec. 30
12:50 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from DPW reporting a vehicle parked at the end of Benjamin Kidder Lane that was making it difficult to plow the end of the street. Police contacted the homeowner who moved the vehicle.Â

1:13 a.m.- Police received a call from a nurse from the V.A. Medical Center reporting a group of kids on Springs Road threw and object at her vehicle as she drove by. The caller said there was no damage to her vehicle. Responding officers checked the area, but did not locate the group.
1:24 a.m.- A caller reported snowmobiles being operated at a high rate of speed in the area of 30 Railroad Avenue. The responding officer checked the area, but the snowmobiles were not located.Â

2:45 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Page Road reporting snowmobiles racing on Page Road toward Lexington. The responding officer reported the snowmobiles were gone upon arrival in the area, but that their tracks went into the woods near 40 Page Road.Â
11:32 a.m.- An employee of the Bedford Facilities Department reported two males offloading snowmobiles at John Glenn Middle School. The responding officer spoke with the two individuals and advised them to leave the area.Â
