Week In Review: Feb. 25- March 1

We spoke with State Representative and Bedford resident Ken Gordon and State Sen. Mike Barrett about the effects of the sequester on the Bedford community as well as Hanscom Air Force Base. The sequester could affect everything from contracting and airport jobs at Hanscom Air Force Base to state agencies providing social services to the blind and disabled.

State Rep. Ken Gordon held office hours at Prince Street Cafe and Bakery Saturday, offering his constituents from Bedford, Burlington and Wilmington to connect with their representative.

Prince Street Cafe and Bakery owners Dana and Rob Strayton talked about the new name of their cafe, the work they do in the Bedford community and they even let us take a look in the kitchen while they were baking for the next day. 

On Monday, we featured a blog from State Sen. Mike Barrett in which he discusses his three top priorities for shaping the upcoming state budget. Each area is "perpetually underfunded."
