What's Open, What's Closed on Patriots' Day in Bedford

Most retail stores and supermarkets will be open for the holiday.

Patriots' Day (also known as Marathon Monday) commemorates the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the start of the Revolutionary War.

The holiday is observed today, April 15. It's a state holiday, but not a federal holiday.

Transportation

  • MBTA: The Fitchburg/South Acton, Red, Blue, Orange, Green and Mattapan lines will operate on their regular weekday schedules -- some with extra service before and after the marathon. Copley Station will be closed all day.
