The chance of snow is rising for the weekend, with possible accumulations around 1 inch, weather reports say.

The unpredictable but potentially disastrous Storm Jonas might spread some snow over Bedford this weekend, with rising chances of snow accumulations around 1 inch.

Saturday has a 50 percent chance of snow, mainly after 10 a.m., with little or no snow accumulation expected, and Saturday night has a 40 percent chance of snow around 1 inch possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18 and west wind around 6 mph.

Blizzard warnings began Thursday in Martha’s Vineyard and Block Island, with forecast predictions up to 3 inches around Greater Boston and up to 7 inches in Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape, where wind gusts could reach 60 mph, Patch previously reported.
