5 (Really 7) Things You Need to Know Today: March 14

Pool update and a lot of other stuff.

1. The Belmont Department of Public Works and architectural firm Bragmann Hendrie + Archetype will be hosting the second public meeting on the feasibility design study for the future of the Underwood Pool and Playground. The meeting, an update on the progress of the study, will take place at 7 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the Belmont Public Library. 

2. There is a great big music show tonight as the Chenery Middle School 6th Grade Band, Chorus and Orchestra Concert will be held at 7 p.m. in the school's auditorum.

3. Belmont Garden Club is holding a Flower Design Workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Belmont Public Library's Assembly Room. For more information, see www.belmontgardenclub.info

4. Infant Lapsit Storytime is for infants and pre-walkers who will enjoy songs, finger plays, and rhymes chosen especially for the Belmont Public Library's littlest readers. From 10:30 a.m. in the Flett Room across from the Children's Room.

5. The monthly book discussion group for third and fourth grade elementary students will take place from 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Flett Room (across from the Children's Room) of the Belmont Public Library.

6. The Belmont League of Women Voters invite members and the general public to attend the league's Board meeting at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Flett Room of the Belmont Public Library.

7. Belmont Against Racism will be holding its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the Staff Room of the Belmont Public Library. Belmont Against Racism promotes dialogue, awareness, and understanding about prejudice and celebrates diversity in Belmont.
