5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 20
Spring is in the air, early elementary release, see "Wreak It Ralph" for free at the Studio Cinema.
1. It's the first day of Spring! No, I am not joshing you! Just think, in two months is Town Day and Prom – it will be in the high 70s and sunny, bet on it! – and in three months, school's out for summer!
2. What to do with the young ones out early? Thanks to the Belmont Savings Bank, you have a free movie to attend! Head over to the Studio Cinema at 1 p.m. to see the Academy Award-nominated "Wreck It Ralph."
In addition to free admission, Belmont Savings will be offering free popcorn as well as a coloring contest. Prizes for the winning drawing include a complimentary birthday party as well as a movie/dinner package, consisting of two movie tickets, two burritos and two sodas. Also, for the coloring contest, the Bank will be giving away passbooks with a $100 free initial deposit. All children attending must be accompanied by an adult.

3. For anyone who has dreamed of treking the Andeas, here is the next best thing. At 1 p.m., Gladys Unger will speak about her trip to Peru that she received as the high bidder at the Belmont World Film's 10th anniversary gala live auction. Donated by Andean Treks of Watertown on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Macchu Picchu, the trip featured guided tours of Lima, Cuzco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. The talk takes place at the First Church in Belmont UU, 404 Concord Ave.

4. The Belmont Book Discussion group will talk about "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," by Rebecca Skloot at 3 p.m. in the Flett Room of the Belmont Public Library. Everyone is welcome to attend. Copies can be requested through the library catalog at www.belmont.lib.ma.us or call the library Reference staff for assistance at 617-993-2870.
5. Paprika Kids at 404 Trapelo Rd. is welcoming Spring with an arts and craft open table. All ages are welcome to come and make spring arts and crafts and bring home a fun project. All art supplies courtesy of Paprika Kids. It's a free events where registration is required
