5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 29
Early release today for elementary and middle schoolers, go to the gallery, animal stories at the Benton.

1. It's an early release day for the four elementary schools and Chenery Middle School: Wellington, Burbank and Butler at 11:40 a.m. and the Winn Brook at 11:50 a.m. while the Chenery students will be released onto the world at 11 a.m.
2. Now in its last days: The Belmont Gallery of Art presents Richard Hill’s “Joint Show with Myself – Collective Iconographies and Story Paintings,” an exhibit features 40 vibrantly colored acrylic paintings from Hill’s collection of iconic portraits assemblages as well as pieces from his story paintings that combine and re-imagine narrative stories incorporating ancient myths, folk tales and legends. It will be open today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please visit the Belmont Gallery of Art’s website at www.belmontgallery.org for more information. Wheelchair accessible.
3. It's another Friday morning filled with Fun Nature & Animal Stories at the Benton Library. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., Denise Patnod leds the reading and craft activities for children between 3 and 5 years old. So come join the Benton Library staff and learn, listen and be silly! Registration is not required but parents and/or caregivers must attend.

4. Yoga, taught by professional instructors, is being held this morning from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 582 Pleasant St. in Gardiner Hall, at the back of the church. $10. All levels welcome just bring your own mat if you can. $6 per child for child care. All proceeds benefit Plymouth Nursery School.
5. Playtime is a drop-in, informal play group for toddlers and preschoolers that meets in the Children's Room of the Belmont Public Libraryfrom 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. It's where both children and adults can meet new friends. Call the Children's Room at 617-993-2880 with any questions.
