5 Things You Need to Know Today: St. Valentine's Day

Ah, love. Girls' hockey, the sounds of love at the Chenery, techies love of machines.

1. The Belmont High School Girls' Ice Hockey team will be dishing out a little love to the best girls' hockey team in Eastern Massachusetts, Woburn High School, when they get together at 5 p.m. at the Viglirolo Skating Rink. 

2. There's sure to be a few love themes performed at tonight's Chenery Middle School Symphonies concert at the school's auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. 

3. Here are a people who will give you a warm feeling: Belmont High School Teen Techs will be available at the Belmont Public Library from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. to help library patrons with how to use their E-readers, downloading from the digital catalog, basic internet help, Facebook and a whole host of computer issues. Please ask at the Reference Desk for directions to the Children's Work Room.

4. The monthly book discussion group for elementary school students in third and fourth grades will be held in the Flett Room of the Belmont Public Library from 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. Could these pre-teens be discussing the love of a vampire?

5. Stop by Paprika Kids at 404 Trapelo Rd. – that's on the same block as the Studio Cinema – to get a balloon on celebration of Valentine’s day, and to participate on the Valentine’s raffle.
