Belmont Car Wash, HS Service Club Holding Benefit Car Wash Saturday

Belmont Car Wash event will assist Cradles to Crayons which helps kids in need.

This Saturday will be sunny with temperatures in the 50s.

After a winter of snow and salt on the road, it's time to wash the car!

And there's no better place to get that task done this weekend than Belmont Car Wash, over by Shaw's at 430 Trapelo Rd., where, in conjunction with Belmont High School’s Belmontian Community Service Club, it will be sponsoring a charity car wash on Saturday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to benefit Cradles to Crayons.

All tips and $1 per car will be donated to this Brighton-based non-profit organization which provides gently-used clothes and material for needy Massachusetts children.

In February, the Belmontian Club collected funds at Shaw’s, sponsored PJ Days at Belmont High School and elementary schools, and raised more than $2,900 for Cradles to Crayons. The members are hoping that through this car wash they will reach the $4,000 mark.
